The Art of Precision: Our Fabrication Process

Every instrument we create is a testament to meticulous engineering. Follow our journey from raw material to a window on the universe.

01

Consultation & Design

We begin with a collaborative design phase, using industry-leading tools like ZEMAX and SolidWorks to model your ideal optical system. This ensures all performance goals, from resolving power to light throughput, are meticulously met before fabrication commences.

02

Substrate Grinding & Polishing

Our advanced CNC-controlled grinders and polishers meticulously shape premium Zerodur or Fused Silica substrates. We achieve sub-nanometer precision, creating optical surfaces that are perfectly curved, ready to capture the faintest celestial light.

Optical Coating Application

Inside a high-vacuum deposition chamber, we apply specialized multi-layer dielectric or enhanced aluminum coatings. These proprietary coatings ensure maximum reflectivity, minimal light loss, and exceptional environmental resilience for optimal performance in any condition.

Assembly & Collimation

All precision components are assembled within a Class 1000 cleanroom environment. Using a state-of-the-art Zygo interferometer and laser-precise collimation techniques, we guarantee perfect optical alignment, ensuring every instrument delivers razor-sharp views of the cosmos.
